TWO MASTER SWORDSMITHS

A Master Swordsmith refers to a smith whose work can be exhibited at sword making competitions/exhibitions without the need for examination by the competition judges. Smiths’ become eligible after winning a number of special awards at national competitions and are designated by an official governing body. Craftsmen who have been designated as Master Swordsmith, are eligible to be nominated to become Living National Treasure. The following two smiths are both designated master swordsmiths.
